Amber Tran

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the surrounding area, Amber graduated high school from University Laboratory School and then went on to graduate college down the street at Louisiana State University. Initially dedicated to becoming a pharmacist, she quickly realized the job – and the medical field – was not for her. At LSU, Amber decided to major in accounting, where she graduated cum laude in three and a half years with a bachelor’s degree in 2017. Exactly one year later, she earned her Master’s of Accountancy in 2018 from LSU’s Graduate School.

Amber’s time at LSU saw her being pushed out of her comfort zone and engaged in various roles with some of her most notable being the Vice President of Finance of her social organization, serving on the Audit Committee of LSU’s honorary accounting organization, as well as uncharacteristically becoming a member of the Senate of LSU’s Student Government hoping that her university experience can bring forth ideas to help bridge the disconnect between students and administration.

As a student, she worked as an intern at LSU’s Office of Accounting Services – Accounts Payable and Travel department before becoming a full-time Staff Accountant upon graduation. After almost three years, she left and became the newest face here at Tomeny Best. During that time, Amber attained her license as a Certified Public Accountant and is an active member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants.

Aside from her CPA license, Amber is also a retail florist licensed in the state of Louisiana, which she uses in part to donate fresh cut flowers to her local church. An avid frappuccino drinker, you will most likely find her at a Starbucks, traveling, and spending most of her days enjoying time with her family and friends.
