Grace Thompson

Grace Thompson, a native of Zachary, Louisiana, is a soon-to-be graduate of Louisiana State University, earning a degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Political Communication and a minor in Sociology with a focus on Criminology. Throughout her time at LSU, Grace has consistently pursued opportunities that blend communication, creativity, and a passion for service.

From Orthopedics To Law

While Grace originally went to college with aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon, she experienced a turning point during her senior year when she was introduced to the legal field. A media law course as part of her concentration gave her a glimpse of the legal field, sparking her passion for advocacy, justice, and helping others. Grace is now getting ready to apply to law school, where she will become an attorney committed to making a difference in other people’s lives.

Professional Background

Grace’s background and experience include an internship under U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, where she was exposed to public service and the legislative process. She has also worked in restaurant roles throughout college, strengthening her communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
